Waxing your chin – the pros and cons The great thing about getting a chin waxing is that, when it is done correctly, it pulls the hair out from the root and leaves you skin smooth and hair-free for up to a month. Waxing the chin is a fast procedure that doesn't leave any wax residue or traces. You may be slightly red for up to an hour. Otherwise, you'll have a smooth hair free chin. At Imagine You New, We recommend exfoliating the area before waxing. This will prevent you from getting ingrown hairs that could be painful and possibly cause a blemish. Look closely chin and you'll see, that your chin hair is probably pretty diverse in length and texture. Some hairs may be thicker and coarser while others are short and soft, down-like. We know the importance of a good wax that will pull the hair from its root, directly out of the skin. If the hair is broken during the waxing process, it won't halt the hair growth. The hair will still have length and can curl up and go back into the skin and cause an ingrown. You'll need about 1/4 of an inch of hair for waxing to work properly. Having the hair at this length will make sure your hair won't break during the procedure.
