WHAT IS MICRODERMABRASION GOOD FOR MY SKIN
AND WHY SHOULD I GET IT?
What is Microdermabrasion and why is it good for my skin?
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure that stimulates blood flow, it improves cell production, skin’s elasticity and texture. Microdermabrasion also exfoliates the skin cells. Microdermabrasion does this by removing the top layers of the skin which will then naturally be replaced with new skin cells.
There are many types of microdermabrasion. One of the methods uses crystal to powerfully dust on the skin to exfoliate away dead skin. Another method of microdermabrasion is using a diamond tip to exfoliate the dead skin cells. The diamond tip microdermabrasion method is a cleaner method because it doesn’t distribute the crystals onto the skin. There are also different levels in the grit tip which can make the microdermabrasion stronger or less powerful.
The last way to get a microdermabrasion treatment done is by using the hydra dermabrasion machine. This method uses water and serums to exfoliate the skin and push product into the skin. The traditional methods used to use fine crystal dust blasted onto the skin to scrub away the dead skin.
At Imagine you New we like to add to our microdermabrasion's to make the treatment even more powerful. One method is by doing dermaplaning. Dermaplaning is used to exfoliate skin and get rid of hair growth. This can also be combined with chemical peels such as alpha hydroxy acid, glycolic acid and salicylic acid. The process will get deep and exfoliate and cleanse the skin which will help with dry skin, peach fuzz and get rid of hair on the skin. Using skin care products after the treatment is very important to sustain results done in this skin care treatment.
