What Colors Can a Heart Nipple Tattoo Be?

Most of my clients choose a heart that matches their natural areola color. Some go a shade lighter, some go a little deeper, and some choose a pinker, rosier tone. I custom mix every color so the heart looks like it belongs on your body.

Why a Heart Takes More Sessions Than You Might Think

A heart looks simple, but building it to the right color takes time. I can match the exact color of your areola, but tattooed color softens as it heals. So I build the color up slowly, session by session, until it holds the shade you want.

Most heart nipple tattoos take about six to eight sessions, spaced about six to eight weeks apart so your skin can fully heal between visits. It is very possible to do, it just takes patience to get it right.

For comparison, a traditional 3D areola tattoo usually takes about three sessions to perfect.

3D Heart Nipple Tattoos

You can also combine both. I can tattoo a heart-shaped areola with a 3D nipple in the center, using shading and highlights so the nipple looks raised even though the skin is flat. It is a beautiful option if you want the heart shape but still want a realistic look.

Does a Heart Nipple Tattoo Hurt?

It is the same procedure as any areola tattoo. I numb the area before we begin, and the experience is the same as a round areola.

Can I Change My Heart to a Round Areola Later?

Yes. If you decide later that you want a traditional round areola, we can do that. Your tattoo can grow and change with you.
